The pool area is great

The breakfast is exceptionally nice with bacon and biscuits. The resort has an excellent location in Myrtle Beach, close to the boardwalk, walking areas, and stores.

I had an amazing experience here, everything was excellent, the location was magnificent really close to the indoor water park, the beach. All the staff was helpful, resolved my issues. Got the same queen room booked online with an a sofa and three beds, for instance.

The pools and the lazy river. Also the oceanfront view was gorgeous.

Where do I begin, I had a non-smoking room, but the room smelled like someone just lit a cigarette up, the overall room was very outdated, when you take a shower the tub fills up with water with the drain opened up( how gross),the elevators were slow and smelled like urine and the price that is quoted on the site does not match what it is when you check in.

This place is in a great spot, really close to the beach, just a short 500 ft walk away, and also near the indoor water park.

Crown Reef is budget- friendly

Crown Reef is a very old hotel that needs to be remodeled. Toilet wouldnt flush Carpet was filthy Refrigerator had rust and dents all over Appliances were old and out dated Outside of hotel carpet was smelly, wet, and filthy

Everything was excellent, including the exceptional views of the ocean and beach. the rooms were updated, brand-new, and fairly clean with bathtubs. - the hotel was in a favorable and excellent location just off Family Kingdom and the restaurant. - It was surely a good stay for 1 or 2 nights.

I hated it! It was filthy, dirty, and everthing was broke.

I sent this on July 14th to above email Customer Service. I am requesting a full refund. I will also send a credit card dispute. My stay was July 13th 2012, I had left a letter on the desk when I checked out addressed to your Facilities Director, Housekeeping Director and the President of Crown Reef Resort regarding issues of my horrible stay. I booked a room with your resort because your website looked so inviting and I felt I was going to be staying in the best resort along the beautiful Myrtle Beach. The first thing that was a problem was the early check in that was impossible. The clerk was unfriendly and I had asked him how his day was going and he told me it was horrible. That was not good customer service. They gave me and my granddaughter a parking pass and bracelets to get into the pool area while we waited for our room to be ready at 3 pm. As we walked into the second floor customer service the entrance was disgusting looking with wet spilt mess all over it. I came through this entrance several time both the 13th and the 14th of July. Not once was this sprayed off. Very poor nonprofessional. The glass doors were filthy, the door handles were filthy. And this was just walking into customer service on the second floor. The guest services told me I could use the restroom to change into our swim suits. The bathroom was filthy and toilet did not flush and it was disgusting. The paper towel holder was broken. The carpets were all filthy and spotted and just plain gross. The whole resort smelled of spilt old beer. It seemed every door we went through was dirty and not ever cleaned. The floors and carpets were so disgusting. We finally got through the check in mess at 3 pm and went to our room. Immediately the room smelled like bo so bad. I tried spraying with air spray and candle and nothing helped this horrible smell. The tv was broke and the lock on the back door just fell off.

Convenient 2-bedroom units here! Great location, super close to Family Kingdom and other fun spots, including a relaxing lazy river nearby 🌊.

As a recent graduate from USC's hospitality program, I am extremely disappointed with this hotel. From the outside, you would only think it was top-notch but quite the contrary. Upon checking in, the front desk attendant had no idea where anything was, did not inform me of check out, was extremely rude and rushed me right our the door. When entering my room, everything was rusted, there was globs of hair in the shower, the toilet seat was down and had not be flushed from the previous attendant (or housekeeper). The bartender downstairs didn't know how to work the credit card system and again was not helpful in answering my questions. I called the front desk inquiring about a taxi on Wednesday (July 4th) and they said they would have the taxi at the hotel for me at 6pm. I waiting with the security yards for over 45minutes, the taxi had never been called. As a resort and paying almost $500 for 2 nights, I couldn't be more disappointed.

Everything. I do not recommend this "resort" to anyone, ever.

The staff here is really friendly and helpful, with a smile on their faces, the pool is clean, and the location is amazing, close to Tower 1 and the boardwalk.

We came Crown Reef Resort to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and everything was perfect, even received a bottle of champaign! Parasailing, jet skiing, banana boat riding, right next door to the hotel, very convenient! The Cloud 9 Lounge was absolutely wonderful, and we just loved Joanne to death! We will be back! Thank you so much for making a great weekend!

Not really the hotel's fault, but all the construction going on in the middle of June was just not good.

Only the front view, but nothing else. It was not a great place to stay . I will never stay there again!!!!!

There needs to be some serious upgrading done to the motel. Also there was no premium channels on tv. Water takes to long to get hot. Sand spares were on the floor, could have done some damage to bare feet. The patio had this great big gazebo in front of our patio which took away from the beach front view. Bath tub was not clean, hair was in the tub, soap scum still on walls of shower. The parking spaces or just to close together.
